HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: WU'S ON FIRST? (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, a cop from a different county and precinct is found dead, and a determined newspaper reporter, Elizabeth Wu, is becoming a nuisance to the detectives involved in the case. At the station house, Detective Lewis meets two men claiming to be Kellerman's brothers. The detectives learn that the dead cop had crack vials in his possession, which leads them to believe the murder may have been drug-related. Kellerman has a feeling his brothers may be in trouble considering their surprise visit. An anonymous caller tells Wu that he witnessed the shooting of the cop but she won't tell the detectives who the source is. Just as Kellerman suspected, his brothers are running from bookies to whom they owe a substantial amount of money. Lieutenant Giardello makes Wu an offer and they swap information about the case. Besides Kellerman's brothers owing money, they've also stolen Babe Ruth's uniform from the museum in Baltimore. Upon some urging from Dr. Cox, Lewis does a background check on Kellerman's brothers and learns that their records are far from clean. The detectives get a witness who can identify the shooter. Wu's source claims that he is the shooter but won't give himself up to the police. Meanwhile, Kellerman finds himself in a jam when he attempts to return the stolen jersey to the museum. Giardello uses Wu's information to track down their suspect. Commercials deleted.
