ALL MY CHILDREN {RAY TRIES TO BLOW UP THE MARTINS' MANSION} (TV)
Summary
One in this daytime serial about the lives and loves of the residents of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. In this episode, which begins on New Year's Eve, Daisy and Palmer make plans to go to New York City for the weekend -- until Palmer's wife decides that she wants to accompany her husband on his trip to the Big Apple. Palmer manages to talk his wife out of the idea, but in the meantime, Daisy's mother realizes that her daughter is still having an affair with a married man. Meanwhile, Brooke discovers that Ray Gardner is not really blind and is most likely trying to get even with the Martins, who are holding a New Year's Eve party at their house. Brooke rushes to their home to warn them, but she is too late: Greg has already discovered Ray in the basement with a bomb that is about to explode. Upon realizing his daughter is in the house, however, Ray panics and runs out of the basement with the bomb in his hands. Other highlights include the following: Opal tells Langley she suspects that he is hiding something from her, Ellen breaks off her relationship with the tycoon in New York City, Mark invites Brooke to go to New York City with him, and Palmer's wife asks Brooke to bring a family photo to Palmer in his New York City hotel room, unaware that he intends to have company.
