DAYS OF OUR LIVES {STEVE AND KAYLA'S WEDDING} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of daytime serial dramas concerning the lives of the Horton family. In this episode, Steve and Kayla are married on a yacht, the way Kayla had always dreamed. An emotional Steve exchanges vows with Kayla, who must use sign language because of her deafness and speech impediment. However, when the time comes for the couple to exchange their personal vows, Kayla decides to use her own voice. With Steve providing strength and inspiration, Kayla is able to recite her vows and hear Steve's as well. Everyone at the ceremony is surprised and ecstatic that Kayla can hear and talk again. Meanwhile, Jack, who was not invited, watches the ceremony from afar, knowing he made a mistake by letting Kayla go, but Melissa rushes to comfort him. At the reception, Marcus gives a toast to the happy couple and Roman reads a telegram from Bo and Shawn in Australia. In an emotional moment, Roman warmly invites Steve into the Brady family and hopes that he remains a member forever. Just as the reception is ending, Steve surprises Kayla with a gondola ride. Commercials deleted.
