EZ STREETS: NEITHER HAVE I WINGS TO FLY {UNAIRED EPISODE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about an intense, straight-arrow police officer, a psychotic and ruthless crime boss, and a reformed ex-convict living parallel lives on opposite sides of the tracks. In this episode, Quinn and Collero find the freezer where Murtha keeps his victim's hands and they must identify the grisly evidence. Meanwhile, Mickey wants to have his father buried at sea, but he is not keen on the cremation that is a part of such a burial. And Elli decides that the money for drug rehab would be better used on bus tickets out of town. Quinn and Collero run into some obstacles when they cannot associate the freezer with Murtha and the handwriting on the plastic bags is untraceable. In the meantime, Dugan puts extra pressure on Mayor Davidson to sign the gambling bill, but the mayor stands up to him. Murtha grants Mickey his wish of a sea burial no matter what it takes. And Quinn is surprised when Conners's name is listed in a criminal file from one of the identified hands. Arriving at the bus depot, Danny decides to join Elli and Janie in their trip. While waiting for Danny to clear everything with his probation officer, Elli undergoes withdrawal and fears she cannot hold out much longer. The sea burial commences, yet Mickey is still uneasy about the situation. And Mayor Davidson checks himself into drug rehab, knowing he did the right thing for the city by standing up to Dugan's pressure. Danny comes to the bus depot and finds Elli in a bathroom stall, beaten and robbed of all their money. As the program concludes, Quinn plants a bug in Conners's apartment and overhears an unannounced guest with a very familiar voice. Commercials deleted.
