MR. SHOW WITH BOB AND DAVID: A WHITE MAN SET THEM FREE (TV)

Summary

One in this series of sketch comedy programs starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. In this episode, Bob and David pull out the viewer hate mailbag and are dismayed to see not a single letter in it; determined to receive a piece of hate mail, they do a segment of "Cracker Barrel," an intentionally racist stage show; the "hugest fan of Mr. Show" doesn't know how to correctly write a letter exhibiting his dislike for something. A commercial promotes Marriage Con and Boat Show '97, a convention guaranteeing that it will get women married and sell you a boat. A socially inept scientist stuck in the Biosphere tries to get a date for New Year's with the aid of some cartoon critters. A Ben and Jerry's-type ice cream company introduces their interesting new flavors. Government officials sit waiting for Chief Ben Proudfeather, the United State's last Indian, to die. Two Vietnam soldiers grow to dislike each other after both being shot in "Hell in a Handbasket." "Night Talk with the Senate Subcommittee," a late-night talk show, features guests Jon Stewart and Blueberryhead. The program ends with Bob and David doing an interpretive balloon dance on the All-Star Salute to the Last Indian.
