NEWSRADIO: FRENCH DIPLOMACY (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies about the employees of WNYX, an all-news radio station in New York City. In this episode, Lisa is upset by her breakup with Dave, who assures her that he ended their relationship for professional, not personal reasons. And Andrea feels betrayed because Lisa never mentioned the romance, and begins to investigate their once-steady relationship. Meanwhile, Beth and Joe spot a person from across the street watching the office through binoculars. Also, Bill makes a few comments about foreign diplomats that listeners take seriously, causing even more tension between Lisa and Dave. Meanwhile, Beth and Joe determine that the peeping tom is Matthew, who describes his agonizing new profession. At Dave's insistence, Bill makes an on-air apology, which backfires, leading to a second disastrous apology. Andrea then drops a bombshell on Dave by announcing that he and Lisa will switch jobs indefinitely. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
