HAPPY DAYS: MY FAVORITE ORKAN (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedies about life in the 1950s. In this episode, Richie's friends believe he is crazy when he claims he spotted a flying saucer. While Richie pouts at home alone, the alien Mork from Ork pays a visit to the Cunningham household. Mork teaches Richie about the language and lifestyle on the planet Ork, demonstrating such customs as sitting on one's head and eating flowers. The alien insists that Richie join him on a journey to Ork, and since the journalism student is eager to cover the amazing story for the school newspaper, he agrees to the space voyage. But the puzzled Cunninghams suddenly return home and the alien overpowers them. When Richie learns he cannot return to Earth for 2000 years, he flees to Arnold's. With Mork in pursuit, Richie asks the Fonz for help before he becomes a specimen on Ork. Mork must use his omnipotent finger to battle the mysterious powers of the Fonz, wreaking havoc at Arnold's in the process. But the alien is touched by the sensitivity displayed by Richie, who in the end believes his experience may have been a dream. In the final segment, Mork files a report with Orson before returning to Earth in the year 1978. Commercials deleted.
