NANNY, THE: LAMB CHOP'S ON THE MENU (TV)

Summary

One in this clash-of-cultures comedy series about Fran Fine, a flamboyant, wisecracking Jewish woman from Queens employed as a nanny by the upper-crust widower Maxwell Sheffield of Park Avenue. In this episode, Maxwell is persuaded by C.C. to produce a Hollywood movie featuring Shari Lewis and her puppet Lamb Chop. Lewis stays at the Sheffield home while developing the project, and the family is alternately charmed and disturbed by Lamb Chop's apparently autonomous personality as the demure Ms. Chop displays tough show-biz savvy and a frankly carnal interest in Maxwell. Chaos ensues when Chester, C.C.'s mischievous pet dog, develops a taste for ersatz mutton when the puppet is left unattended. Commercials deleted.
