Summary
One in this series of talk/interview programs, hosted by Stanley Siegel. This edition features Siegel covering the biggest snowstorm in the New York metropolitan area since 1969 from an outdoor post near Central Park. Throughout the program he chats with a number of residents to get their impressions of the weather, including automobile commuters, policemen, a cross-country skier, a restaurant manager, a maintenance man, a truck driver, and children enjoying a school snow day. Siegel also interviews former Mayor John Lindsay and his wife Mary about the 1969 blizzard. Throughout the program, Siegel cuts back to the studio, in which reporter Bob Lape gives updates on the weather situation and transportation conditions. Finally, Siegel returns to the studio and discusses with Lape the 1969 snowstorm and the city's disastrous handling of snow removal during that period. Includes commercials, promos and PSAs.
