PRACTICE, THE: TIES THAT BIND (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas about the idealistic attorneys at a struggling Boston law practice. In this episode, Ellenor and Lindsay defend Sara Katlin, a porn star who killed her husband, Peter, while shooting a bondage film. Although his death was accidental, many factors conspire against their client as the case progresses. The jury is instantly disgusted by the whole affair, especially when they learn that by gagging him, Sara prevented him from exclaiming that he was in danger. Also, Peter's sister testifies that the couple actually hated each other, and that during one of their violent arguments, Sara threatened to kill him on film. Sara doesn't help matters by admitting that she's not sorry that her husband's dead. And the Assistant District Attorney admits to Ellenor that his office has a vendetta against her firm because of the cop killers that Bobby has defended. But Sara's honesty eventually becomes an advantage. Meanwhile, Rebecca's identification of a murder suspect is called into question due to a technicality, and Helen discovers that Bobby and Lindsay were once lovers. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements.
