In episode three, Mary Ann and Michael have a fierce argument and later make up; Frannie learns more about an elite rejuvenation group; and Mona asks Mother Mucca to accompany her to San Francisco to meet Mrs. Madrigal. Other highlights include the following: Burke acts evasive about his past and vomits when presented with a rose; Mrs. Madrigal gives the libidinous Brian advice on treating women properly; Beauchamp arranges to have his wife DeDe beaten up so she cannot give birth to her half-Chinese twins; Beauchamp's drug dealer, Bruno, hires Douchebag, a young punk rocker, to assault DeDe; at a gay bar in Acapulco, Michael has a romantic reunion with his old lover, Jon Fielding, who apologizes for his behavior at the Endup dance contest; Brian continues his sessions with a female voyeur; and at a sushi bar, DeDe chats with former model D'orothea Wilson. Also, Mrs. Madrigal has an awkward reunion with her mother after fifty years; Mary Ann is thrilled to learn that Burke has amnesia, but intrigued by his fear of roses; and Mother Mucca has a hard time accepting her son as a transsexual. As this episode concludes, Mary Ann invites Burke to San Francisco -- the last place he lived before losing his memory.
