BIRDLAND: A HISTORY OF JAZZ: DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME (TV)

Summary

One in this Danish series of animated stories about birds and cats, accompanied by classic jazz recordings. This episode tells the story of a hungry cat and a cautious bird's dreams of being together, to the tune of "Dream a Little Dream of Me" performed by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. One day as the bird is aimlessly pecking at crumbs on the ground, a cat sneaks up and nearly catches him. However, the bird flies away just in time, and lands in a tree. While the bird is sitting safely on his tree branch, he and the cat sing sweetly to each other and dream of how things could be between them, were they not predator and prey.
