ANOTHER WORLD {JAKE AND VICKY'S WEDDING CEREMONY} (TV)
Summary
One in this daytime serial set in the fictional town of Bay City, Illinois. As Jake prepares to marry Vicky, his best man, Chris, declares that Shane will be unable to interfere with the ceremony: he has untied Shane's boat, sending him adrift at sea. Unbeknownst to both of them, Vicky is also on the boat. Following Marley's advice to be true to her feelings, Vicky persuasively tells Shane that marrying Jake is the right choice for her. Meanwhile, Donna is concerned about Vicky's absence and convinces Marley that she ought to step in for the bride during the ceremony, because if the wedding does not occur, Grant may have a better chance of gaining custody of Kirkland. But Grant has a trick up his sleeve -- an incriminating photo of Vicky and Shane, which he hopes will cause Jake to bail out. En route to the wedding, Sofia runs into Tomas as she delivers a letter to Matt, whom she believes has been sending her secret messages. Tomas ultimately intercepts her letter and answers it himself. Vicky and Shane manage to return to shore and arrive at the ceremony in time, but just as she and Jake are exchanging vows, Shane pleads with her to stop the wedding. Commercials deleted.
