One in this occasional series of interview specials, hosted by Barbara Walters. On this program, Walters's guests are funnyman Jim Carrey, actress Kim Basinger, and actor/rap singer Will Smith. The second guest, Kim Basinger, discusses the following topics, among others: why she almost turned down her Oscar-winning role in "L.A. Confidential"; what she was like as a child; her determination to beat the fears in her life; winning beauty pageants as a young teen; anxiety attacks early in her acting career; why she purchased a small Georgia town; getting sued for backing out of the film "Boxing Helena"; meeting and falling in love with her husband Alec Baldwin; her 2-year-old daughter Ireland; whether she still has fears in her life; and whether she's happy with her life. The last guest, Will Smith discusses the following topics, among others: the contents of letters he and wife Jada Pinkett Smith (who joins him briefly) read to each other at their wedding ceremony; the high points of his year; his parents' divorce and thoughts on his own divorce from his first wife; the first rap song he wrote; thoughts on expletives in rap songs; what "gettin' jiggy wit it" means; his feelings on African-Americans intentionally using poor grammar; whether he worries that the black community will think he's "acting white" for being well-spoken; trends he looks for in choosing movies; the importance of "creatures" in movies; his thoughts on alien life; believing in government conspiracies such as the spread of the AIDS virus; and whether he could compose an impromptu rap about Walters.
