Summary
The second of two programs on this tape. A segment from one in this series of comedy programs looking at love in America from many points of view. In this segment, "Love and the First-Nighters," an awkward teenage couple, John and Amy, check into a dirty motel room for a potential liaison. There, the couple frets that the motel manager, Mort, will tell the police that they're an unwed couple pretending to be married. They further worry about finally deciding to "grow up" and have sex for the first time. Eventually, John and Amy decide to put off the physical aspect of their relationship, especially when a lovers' quarrel erupts in the room next to theirs. Also, a "blackout" skit follows the segment. Commercials deleted.
