SOPRANOS, THE: LEGEND OF TENNESSEE MOLTISANTO (TV)
Summary
One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. In this episode, almost everyone anticipates that FBI indictments will come down with a vengeance on the family. Undaunted, Junior is upset that no one else agrees the rumors are unfounded. But everyone agrees to do "spring cleaning" around their houses and lay low for awhile. And Dr. Melfi's family wonders whether she should continue treating her "special" patient after word of the indictments is splashed all over the news. Also, increasingly frustrated with a screenplay he is writing, Christopher loses his temper at the bakery, causing Tony to worry about his mood swings and wonder whether action should be taken. Carmela persuades a stubborn Livia to go out for brunch, and Tony takes that opportunity to stash a few things in Livia's room. In a therapy session, Tony informs Melfi that he may take an unscheduled vacation, leading the doctor to ask whether the indictments are aimed at him. As the warrants are handed down, Christopher admits he is upset about not getting proper recognition for numerous hits he has done. And the FBI arrives at Tony's house with a search warrant, so the family witnesses them rummaging through their house. That evening, the family dinner turns into a history lesson about Italians and their accomplishments. At his next session, Tony loses his cool with Melfi and says he fails to understand her purpose in therapy. When Junior tells Livia that the family may have a bad apple, Livia inadvertently reveals that Tony is seeing a psychiatrist and Junior is stunned. As the program concludes, Christopher rushes out to read his name in the newspaper.
