Summary
One in this series of comedies about the family life of wealthy white industrialist Philip Drummond and his adopted African-American sons, Arnold and Willis. In this episode, Kimberly decides to leave private school and attend public school with Willis and his girlfriend, Charlene, and Mr. Drummond warily consents. Also, Pearl Gallagher interviews for the position of housekeeper at the Drummond household, and her impressive credentials include several Secretaries of State. Meanwhile, on her first day at public school, Kimberly learns that girls are not allowed to participate in swimming, and she berates the student body president since he does not support the girls' right to join the sport. At swim team tryouts, Kimberly tries to join the boys' team and disaster ensues. But ultimately, her actions have a positive impact on women's liberation. Commercials deleted.
