NEIL SIMON'S LONDON SUITE (TV)
Summary
This made-for-television adaptation of a Neil Simon play follows the relationships of four couples while they are staying in London's Grosvenor Hotel. Michael and Anne Ferris plan on attending the Wimbledon tennis matches until his back goes out, creating havoc throughout the hotel and leading to injuries to his doctor, the bellboy, and Anne. Debra Dolby arrives for her honeymoon after losing her husband at the airport in a bizarre drug-smuggling scheme, and she invents all kinds of improbable tales to explain his absence. Widow Sharon Semple allows her daughter Lauren to set her up on a date with a quirky Scotsman who, much to her dismay, snorts, twitches, and wheezes throughout their evening together. And television actress Diana Nichols is reunited with her ex-husband Sydney only to find that he is battling cancer and wants her to provide a nest egg for his lover in Greece. Commercials deleted.
