SOPRANOS, THE: A HIT IS A HIT (TV)
Summary
One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. In this episode, Tony's neighbor invites him play golf at the private club, and Christopher takes Adriana to Broadway after financial matters work out to the family's benefit. In the crowd, Adriana recognizes gangster rapper and entertainment businessman Massive Genius. Genius says he needs to discuss some "business" with Hesh, and Christopher agrees to act as go-between. Meanwhile, Carmela begins to worry about finances should anything ever happen to Tony. Hesh and Genius meet about past residuals that Hesh may have stolen from a musical artist related to Genius. And Adriana is hoping to launch a band's career using Christopher's connection to Genius. In the meantime, Dr. Melfi feels uncomfortable at a dinner party when her colleagues discuss Tony. During a therapy session, Tony explains that Carmela feels they should meet new people. As she and Tony attend a neighbor's barbecue, Carmela learns some tips on playing the stock market. While the recording sessions with Adriana's band go well, Christopher loses his temper in the studio. And as Tony goes to play golf with his neighbor and his friends, he feels uncomfortable when they ask him questions about the Mafia's history. Hesh informs Genius about his decision regarding the royalties and, displeased, Genius counters with a lawsuit. And Christopher tells Adriana that the only reason she received the record deal was because Genius was interested in her. As the program concludes, Tony plays a practical joke on his neighbor.
