Summary
One in this comedy series showcasing the many talents of actress/comedienne Tracey Ullman. Each episode "takes on" a particular subject, with the versatile Ullman portraying a wide variety of characters in a series of sketches. This edition begins with Ullman talking about why she gave up smoking once she moved to California and features Ullman in, among others, the following segments: Hope talks about being "a tobacco addict"; Miss Noh Nang Ning discusses putting nicotine in her doughnuts and selling them to children; Kay needs to locate some medicinal marijuana for her ailing mother but struggles with finding a "connection," eventually using an illegal Mexican immigrant, Carlos, that she used to employ; Kay smokes some of the pot herself and ends up singing "I Am the Walrus" with Carlos, eventually causing him to get deported; Linda speaks to her addiction group about the first cigarette she ever smoked and the "Valley of the Dolls-like" path that it sent her down; Ruby isn't allowed to smoke in the dressing room and struggles with finding a place where she can take a puff; and Chic talks about his outrage when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis smoked Cuban cigars in his cab.
