Summary
The pilot in this comedy series starring humorist Bill Cosby as Cliff Huxtable, a successful obstetrician with a lawyer wife and five exasperating children. This episode introduces the Huxtable family: parents Cliff and Claire, daughters Sondra, Denise, Vanessa, and Rudy, and their only son, Theo. In this episode, Theo brings home a poor report card and Cliff is forced to teach his son about the economics of life for "regular" people. Also, Denise has a date. Cliff is surprised when he meets her beau: an earring-wearing, former merchant marine who once spent time in a Turkish prison. Commercials deleted.
