GUIDING LIGHT {THE SPAULDING LAB EXPLOSION} (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial about the residents of the midwestern town of Springfield. As the episode begins, Blake is in the hospital claiming that she cannot remember anything about the rape -- and paralyzed by Ross's accidentally shooting her in an effort to save her from Ben. Ross is arrested for attempted murder, and Rick offers to care for their children, much to Hart's dismay. Dinah suspects that Blake willingly submitted to Ben's advances and warns her to implicate Ben in the rape in order to get Ross released from jail. Much of the episode revolves around the explosion at Spaulding Labs. Michael Burke, distraught over the fact that Vicky stole his cloning research to foster Alan's evil plans, plants a bomb in the lab in order to destroy his work. His plan succeeds, but fatal consequences ensue. Meanwhile, Sean is hiding out in Cassie's home after breaking out of prison. He needs to prove that his ex-wife and partner ran off together and staged her murder in order to get Sean arrested. Cassie is worried that things will not work out between Hart and her, and that he might really be the father of Dinah's baby. Commercials deleted.
