
AS THE WORLD TURNS {DAVID HOLDS LILY AND HER BABY HOSTAGE} (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial, set in the midwestern town of Oakdale. In this episode Holden, Jack, and Julia come together to rescue Lily and her baby from David, who is holding them hostage. An arrangement has been made in which Julia is to bring $2,000,000 to David, but DavidÕs real motive is to take the baby away from Lily and revenge himself on Holden. At the hospital, Georgia readies herself for her impending surgery, and Eddie keeps her company, even though Lucinda tries to scare him away. Eddie also calls in reporters for an exclusive interview in which he clears up the scandalous rumors about his involvement in MargoÕs pregnancy. Meanwhile, Margo is suffering from disturbing abdominal pains. After a fight with Margo Tom cannot be found, so Andy takes her to the hospital. Viewers know that Tom has gone with Emily to an empty house, where she has seduced him. As Tom and Emily's passion escalates, Margo receives some chilling news from Dr. Susan Stewart. Back at the Snyder farm, James Stenbeck and Lucinda drop in on HoldenÕs meeting with Jack and Julia. James and Lucinda want to take part in the mission to rescue Lily, but David calls Holden with a warning that makes him determined to keep the plan as simple as possible. DavidÕs growing mental instability is becoming apparent to Lily, and she fears for her life and the safety of her baby. Commercials deleted.
