OH MADELINE: YES, BUT I'M MARRIED {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere in this comedy series, based on the British series "Pig in the Middle," about Madeline, a bored surburban housewife determined to find new ways to bring excitement into her life. In this episode, Madeline tries everthing -- trampoline workouts, wheat grass shakes, and exercise machines -- in an attempt to get healthy, but her junk food-loving husband Charlie has different plans. So Madeline makes a bet with Charlie that he can't go twenty-four hours on a health-food diet. Charlie must also finish writing his new romance novel, despite constant interruptions from his neighbor and best friend Robert. Robert inspires Charlie to secretly eat a non-healthy meal, which he accidentally ends up sharing with another woman at a fancy restaurant. Coincidentally, Madeline and Doris, Madeline's best friend, and Robert's ex-wife, end up at the same restaurant. There, Doris tells Madeline that she needs to find her old diary, which she thinks she left at Robert's house before the split. Madeline is enlisted to sneak into his house and find it. At that point, Charlie sees Madeline and tries to escape from the eatery, getting doused in chocolate syrup in the process. He makes arrangements to wash himself off at Robert's house, just as Madeline heads there to get the diary. The plans for both go predictably askew, as Robert and the mystery diner also end up at the once-quiet residence. Commercials deleted.
