MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN {EPISODE 50} {CHARLIE SELLS RAFFLE TICKETS} (TV)
Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. This episode begins with good news as Loretta learns that her legs are in spontaneous remission. She worries that she and Charlie will lose their house, however, because of her tremendous medical bills. Charlie hatches a plan to sell raffle tickets to raise the money they need. Meanwhile, Mary tries to take Grandpa's advice on happiness by doing "her thing," but she still has trouble deciding what "her thing" is. George tries to convince Martha that the incriminating pictures of him were part of a frame-up by the union to keep him from running for office. Events take a turn for the worse when Charlie knocks out the plant foreman during a fight about the raffle. Commercials deleted.
