Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Charlie wants Loretta to spend less time making bicentennial sequined Christmas trees for the Worldwide Missionary Center and more time focusing on her career; Merle asks Loretta to act as soloist for the Holy Light Choir but spends more time looking at her body than listening to her answer; Dennis has an allergy attack after eating canned pimentos; Cathy tells Mary that the network is searching for "the typical American consumer housewife" and that Mary has been entered as a candidate; Tom and Grandpa have a conversation about the meaning of life over a game of checkers; and Mary talks to Howard about his fear of coming out of the closet.
