Summary
The first of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary tries to coach Tom during the filming of a commercial for "Donnelly's R.V. City"; Dr. Fermin sends a wealthy couple, Brian and Christine Addams, to talk to Cathy about buying her baby; Tom surprises Mary and Heather with a new C.B. radio; Garth Gimble hopes to hitch his wagon to Merle Jeeter's star by directing Merle's business investments; Wanda Rittenhouse begins to steer Merle toward a future in politics; and, as the Gimbles move into their new home, Pat is subtly terrorized by a psychologically and physically abusive Garth. Commercials deleted.
