Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Merle returns from the hospital, and Wanda vows to love him now that he's been snatched from the jaws of death. However, Lila also makes Wanda promise to be faithful to her by threatening to ruin Wanda's political career. Mr. Bales, the plant foreman, confronts Mary about her petition to improve the workplace, and Charlie and Mac continue to forge a close friendship. Meanwhile, Bales leads a meeting of the TTT (Twilight Teachers of Truth), a Ku Klux Klan-type organization, and welcomes the Grand Baron, who is disappointed that the Fernwood chapter lacks any members. Bales unveils his plan to revitalize the organization by giving it a new image and calling it the Glorious Guardians of Good. The organization's homebase would be located in Fernwood, and the Hartmans would serve as its "poster family." Commercials deleted.
