Summary

The first of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Vernon invites Tom to join the GGG as a free lifetime member, Howie tells Cathy about his desire to go to New York to infiltrate the GGG, and Mary asks Loretta for feedback on her new morale-boosting song for the workers at the Fernwood plant. In addition, Martha is depressed about losing her job and comes to Mary for advice, Barbie moves in with Grandpa, and Lila accidentally murders police chief Quinlan in an attempt to get rid of Merle. Commercials deleted.
