Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary's happy homecoming is disrupted when she learns that Tom is not interested in making love to her after their stressful separation. Lila thinks it is possible that Martha has taken Wanda's diary, due to her kleptomania. Mary becomes friendly with Dewey, the auto plant's black janitor. At a meeting of the Glorious Guardians of Good, Mary suggests that Dewey would make an excellent member and would contribute to the betterment of Fernwood, but Bales has other plans for this member of a "minority persuasion." Commercials deleted.
