Summary
The first of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, a jailed Tom tells Merle that Merle is no knight on a white horse -- but he might just be a knight on a tricycle. Merle consequently rides into Mary's kitchen on a tricycle. She asks him to call the prison for her so that she can talk to Tom, but Tom gets angry because Merle is with Mary. Dr. Mattick goes to the Haggers home to examine the Wild Child and concludes that the child has been raised by Bigfoot. Charlie visits Tom in jail, and Tom tells his friend that he is an innocent scapegoat. Commercials deleted.
