Summary
The second of two episodes on this tape. One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Merle and Wanda appear on the Fernwood Hallelujah Hour to promote their campaign and discover that Buzz and Angela are part of the communist party. Tom calls the Capri Lounge looking for Mary, and the epic struggle between Mac and Svetlana comes to a dramatic conclusion. Meanwhile, Cathy collapses in pain, the Jeeters are nearly lynched by an anti-communist mob, and Merle is suspended from his position as Mayor of Fernwood. Also, Tom finds a "Dear John" letter from Mary. Commercials deleted.
