FELICITY: SOPHOMORIC {SECOND SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

The second season premiere in this dramatic series about a privileged, impulsive girl named Felicity Porter, who studies in New York City and undergoes the rites of passage toward adulthood. In this episode, Felicity and her friends return for their sophomore year of college. However, on Felicity's first day back, she finds that the people she used to consider friends are now snubbing her because of events that took place during summer break. As Felicity explains to Javier, at the end of freshman year, she received separate invitations from Ben and Noel to go away for the summer, and she was pressed to choose between them. When she chose Ben, her relationships with Noel and Julie were affected -- and she is suffering the consequences now. Meanwhile, everyoneÕs allegiances are shifting due to the new living arrangments for sophomore year. To Felicity's dismay, she is once again placed with Meghan, and they are co-resident advisors in the dormitory. Julie is equally upset when she is placed in a dorm room with a pair of perky cheerleading twin sisters, but Sean saves the day when he invites her to move into the apartment that he shares with Ben. Noel and Elena are happily sharing an off-campus apartment, except for the fact that Elena is now caught between Noel and Felicity. Although Felicity, Noel, Ben, and Julie try to steer clear of awkward situations, it is impossible for them to avoid each other, particularly given their living situations. Confrontations eventually occur, heightening the tension in the air. In an effort to smooth things over with Noel and prove her commitment to their friendship, Elena admits that she had an affair with Professor McGrath. Sean also tries to prevent a disaster by repeatedly warning Ben not to date Felicity. Ben continues to spend time with her and they grow closer, but he soon begins to wonder whether he should have listened to Sean's advice. Commercials deleted.
