Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial, set in the midwestern town of Oakdale. In this episode, Garth holds Katie hostage as her friends try frantically to find her. First, Lily stares at an old photograph of a woman who looks exactly like her. Jack, Julia, and Jake talk about trying to locate Katie. Meanwhile, Garth has Katie trapped in a broadcasting room at the station. Holden and Abigail return home, and Holden blames Simon for the fire. While Jack, Julia, and Jake continue on their search for Katie, Garth ties Katie up and admits to pretending to be Henry on the phone. Isaac runs into Chamille at the club, and she admits that skipping her test means she has failed medical school. Garth tapes Katie's forced confession. At the Snyder home, Holden is reminded to call Katie; when Holden leaves, Simon tells Lily that he wants to skip town. Garth gives Katie a bottle of pills and tries to make her commit suicide. Katie frees herself, and Garth chases her through the station. Holden shows up as they are struggling on an elevated walkway; Jake, Julia, and Jack rush in. Katie and Garth struggle and fall through the railing. Commercials deleted.
