Summary
One in this comedy series about Ed Stevens, a divorcee who moves back to his hometown of Stuckeyville to open a law practice, run a bowling alley, and hopefully win the heart of high school dream girl Carol Vessey. In this episode, Ed faces his first Thanksgiving alone without his ex-wife Liz. Ed and Mike reminisce about great holiday traditions from their high school days, their favorite being a watered-down football game known as Skidball. Meanwhile, Ed represents precocious high schooler Gavin Schrader against Frank Jordan when Schrader breaks his arm after partaking in another holiday tradition: breaking into Jordan's "haunted" cabin. Also, Phil tries to snooker people into buying "fine Corinthian turkeys" from him. Ed decides that everyone, including Nancy's parents and Molly's grandfather, should get together for a Thanksgiving dinner thrown at the bowling alley by him. Carol, also alone due to her recent break-up with Nick, helps Ed cook the dinner as he tries to start a new tradition.
