SOPRANOS, THE: SECOND OPINION (TV)
Summary
One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. In this episode, Junior has a cancerous tumor successfully removed under the surgical knife of Dr. John Kennedy. Meanwhile, Carmela, provoked by her parents, attends a solo therapy session with Dr. Melfi, worried about Tony's recent mood swings. Tensions between Paulie and the recently "made" Christopher reach a boiling point when Paulie sticks his nose somewhere he shouldn't. Also, Angie Bonpensiero -- Big Pussy's widow -- uses the money Tony had been helping her with to buy a Cadillac, drawing Tony's ire. After, Junior's cancer returns, Tony forces him to get a second opinion. Carmela's unhappiness escalates when, after a fancy lunch with the dean of Columbia, Tony refuses to make a donation. The episode ends with a therapist advising Carmela to leave Tony.
