Summary
The first of two programs on this tape. One in this series of animated children's specials featuring the characters from the comic strip "Peanuts." In this program, Charlie Brown prepares for the school Christmas play, even though he is depressed about the commercialism that surrounds the holiday season. Meanwhile, Snoopy decides to enter his lavishly decorated doghouse in a contest. Only when Linus explains his interpretation of the true meaning of Christmas are Charlie Brown and his friends able to celebrate the holiday together.
