ALIAS: ALMOST THIRTY YEARS {FIRST SEASON FINALE} (TV)

Summary

The first season finale in this dramatic action series about CIA double agent Sydney Bristow and her adventures with her colleagues and her enemies. In this episode, Will is tranquilized and dragged into a back room where Mr. Sark asks him about "the circumference." Meanwhile, as Francie tells Sydney about her plans to open a restaurant, Sydney receives a call from Sark, setting up the exchange of Will for the Rambaldi page and the ampule. Jack agrees to help recover Will but feels that they should figure out first what the page says themselves; this will require "stealing" Sloane's fingerprint and voiceprint. Meanwhile, Sloane presents Emily, her cancer now in remission, with a beach house to recover on, before telling her everything -- much to her shock -- about SD-6. After a slip-up on Sydney's part, Dixon has come to suspect that something is going on with her loyalties. Under the guise of talking about Emily, Sydney is able to acquire Sloane's prints, while Jack hacks into his access codes. Later, Sloane begs the Alliance to not kill Emily, but he changes his tune when offered a full-partnership. The prints in hand, Sydney prepares to break into the lab and steal the document, but Dixon, spying on her the whole time, interrupts and questions her. Meanwhile, the C.I.A. calls in Vaughn to question him about Sydney's loyalties. Using the Rambaldi solution, Jack and Sydney finally expose the mysterious page which reveals instructions for how to use "the circumference." On a hunch, Jack abducts Haladki who admits to being the CIA mole and tells of a "battery" that Khasinau has been constructing in a Taipei lab. Later, Vaughn finds Sydney alone at a train station and agrees to help save Will in Taipei. Meanwhile, Sloane mixes some poison into Emily's wine and they enjoy possibly their final toast together. In Taipei, Jack makes the exchange for Will while Sydney and Vaughn search for the battery. Finally, Sydney locates the battery and is shocked at it's enormity. She detonates it unleashing a tremendous flood which she escapes from, but from which Vaughn does not. She is captured and taken to another storeroom where she finally meets "the Man." Includes commercials.
