Summary
Screened as one of The Museum of Television & Radio's
"We Interrupt This Workday" lunchtime screening
series. One in this comedy/variety show series
featuring the characters from the television comedy "The
Brady Bunch." This episode opens with a cast
performance of "Hooray for Hollywood," while the Water
Follies Swimmers dance a water ballet. After the song,
the cast cracks jokes at each other and share their
thoughts about tonight's show. They welcome the guests:
performer Milton Berle; comedian Rip Taylor; and singer
Tina Turner. Next, Carol, Mike, Greg, Marsha, and Peter
perform "Make 'Em Laugh," dressed as clowns.
Afterwards, Taylor joins Alice onstage, and they attempt
to make each other laugh, before picking up with the
song. After that segment, Peter explains sadly that no
one wanted to introduce his singing performance tonight.
A voluptuous puppet named Collette approaches the
teenager and offers some encouragement. Together, they
perform "Sing!" After some jokes between the Brady
siblings, Tina Turner sings "Rubber Band Man" and the
Water Follies Swimmers dance along with a water ballet.
Peter introduces the finale; the guests and the cast
perform "Good Morning Starshine" from "Hair."
Commercials deleted.
(The episode on this tape has been shortened to a
thirty-minute running time.)
