AMERICAN FAMILY: THE MASKED EAGLE {PT. 1 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Part one of two. One in this drama series about a Latino family living in Los Angeles. In this episode, Jess is beside himself when Pete is put in a nursing home. As part one opens, Jess excitedly prepares to go on his first fishing trip in fifty years. Meanwhile, Pablito continues to sorely miss Ofelia's presence, while Dora begins using the house for conga lessons. As Jesse closes his barber shop, ready to embark on the trip, Pete collapses right outside the store. While Pete recovers in the hospital, Jesse recalls his childhood with Pete during World War II, including memories of their favorite radio serial "The Masked Eagle" and the anti-Japanese fervor of the time. Back at the house, Pablito sets his sights on becoming a dancer in order to make Ofelia return to him. The episode ends with Pete checking himself into a nursing home, much to Jesse's dismay.
