CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: THE PANTS TENT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

The premiere in this series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, Larry's overly blowsy pants cause Cheryl's friend Nancy to think he got an erection because of her while they are at the movies together. At the same movie, Larry unwittingly gets into a spat with Richard Lewis's new girlfriend. Later, while on the phone with Jeff, Larry jokingly refers to Cheryl as "Hitler" not realizing that he is on speaker-phone and that Jeff's parents can hear, offending the old, Jewish couple. These events embroil Larry in a huge string of lies which, through odd circumstances, bring all the principals together at Mama's Boy restaurant causing Larry's lies to be revealed.
