CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: THE WIRE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, the Davids' desire to eliminate an unsightly wire from their backyard requires them to get the approval from their neighbor Dean, who uses his desire to meet Julia Louis-Dreyfus as leverage. Meanwhile, after an inner-city kid that Jeff is sponsoring burns down his summer camp, the Greenes are forced to take the child in, to disastrous results. When Larry loses his idea pad, a chain of events causes him to alienate Julia and ruin the Davids' chances of the wire ever coming down.
