ALIAS: SECOND DOUBLE / THE TELLING {SECOND SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic action series about Sydney Bristow, who leads a double life as a graduate student by day and a CIA double agent by night. In this episode, a special two-hour second season finale, Francie's double arranges for Will to get framed and arrested by the CIA for espionage, marking him as the second double. Sydney and Vaughn go to Berlin where they track down Han Jurgen, builder of Project Helix, who gives them information on the possible whereabouts of the Helix mainframe. Feeling the need to put Will in a more secure location, the CIA attempts to transport him, but their caravan is raided by snipers and during the blood bath Will escapes. Meanwhile, Sloane surprises Jack as he dines alone and offers him an invitation back as his partner, but Jack promptly declines. The CIA goes to Marseilles to infiltrate the Helix facility, but upon their arrival they learn that they are too late; Irina has already been there and hit the kill switch, effectively erasing the Project Helix data, but she does tell Sydney where Sloane and the Rambaldi artifacts are hiding. Sark and Francie's double (Allison) meet and he tells her that with the destruction of Project Helix they will not be able to reverse the doubling process on her. The CIA uses Irina's information to determine that all Sloane lacks for the Rambaldi project's completion is the Di Regno heart. After Will is finally cleared of wrongdoing and allowed to come out of hiding, he makes a startling discover regarding Project Christmas. When the CIA finally raids the Zurich facility per Irina's advice, they find that they have been set up; Jack is kidnapped and the Di Regno heart he guards is stolen. Sloane now possesses every Rambaldi artifact and, with Jack shackled, is only one day away from having the project completely built. Sydney and Vaughn now must capture Sark, who tells them of Sloane's whereabouts in Mexico City. In Mexico City, the CIA infiltrates Sloane's facility and rescues Jack. But, Sloane makes his escape in part due to Irina, who, furthermore, tells Sydney that it is she who is The Prophecy and only she can stop Sloane. Back home, Will finally figures out that Francie is Allison, but before he can act, she kills him. When Sydney returns home she gets a message Will left for her, alerting her of Allison's existence. In the ensuing battle, Allison proves to be a worthy foe, but, eventually, Sydney kills her before she herself passes out from exhaustion. When next she awakens, Sydney inexplicably finds herself with a scar on her stomach, alone in Hong Kong, where she goes to a local CIA safe house to meet Vaughn. A shocked Vaughn explains to her that he thought she was dead, that Will is actually alive, that he himself is now married, and that she has been missing for two years! Includes commercials.
