MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE: CHRISTMAS (TV)
Summary
One in this irreverent comedy series revolving around a precocious middle child who narrates life in his tumultuous and outrageous family. In this episode, with Christmas approaching, Lois's rage builds as the boys settle into their pre-holiday routine of mayhem and destruction. When she catches Malcolm, Reese, and Dewey gleefully throwing glass ornaments at each other, Lois decides to take Christmas away, holding every last decoration and gift hostage in the garage unless the boys can behave until Christmas day. Though taking the family's favorite holiday devastates Hal, Lois's idea seems to work -- until the boys realize that any successful repression of their destructive tendencies might inspire their mother to use similar tactics every year. In the meantime, Frances tries to survive a holiday visit to Grandma Ida's house, where the slightest hint of holiday spirit sends the bitter woman into fits of abusive rage. Commercials deleted.
