FAMILY TIES: DEATH OF A GROCER (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Keaton family -- Elyse and Steven, two aging ex-hippies, and their conservative, materialistic children. In this episode, Alex ignores his parents' counsel and quits his long-held job at old Mr. Adler's grocery store in favor of a position at a flashy new supermarket. Though Alex is bored with the tediousness of his new position and left cold by the store's impersonal treatment of its staff, he is loathe to give up his rung on the corporate ladder -- or to prove Steven and Elyse right. In the meantime, Adler's suffers from Skippy's oft-proven incompetence; and Mallory continues to fight off Skippy's clumsy advances. Commercials deleted.
