BATTLESTAR GALACTICA {MINISERIES, PART 2 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Part two in this two-part miniseries -- which led to a weekly series in 2004 -- that re-imagined the 1978 ABC show about a lost tribe of humans on a fleet of starships, led by the Battlestar Galactica, during a war with the robotic Cylons. Part two begins as the Galactica prepares to "jump" out of the home system -- and instantaneously transport itself to the safer Ragnar Anchorage area, hoping to briefly trick the Cylons. President Roslin tries to round up the surviving human ships in the galaxy. Doctor Baltar -- still tormented by his stupidity in his dealings with Number Six -- meets with Roslin, who appoints him chief scientific consultant. They make plans for battling the Cylons, which he determines to be a futile endeavor. He informs everyone that the Cylons now have the capability to take human form, and that there may be Cylons on the Galactica. Along with Adama, Baltar determines that the Galactica's best course of action is to find a new world for human civilization. Adama proposes that they search for a mysterious thirteenth colony known only through legend -- Earth. Commercials deleted.
