UGLY BETTY: I'M COMING OUT (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy-drama series about Betty Suarez, a young Queens woman trying to make it in the fashion industry despite her unglamorous appearance.

In this episode, set during New York's Fashion Week, Betty helps Daniel run the Mode event. Meanwhile, Hilda lolls around the house, unemployed, until Daniel hires her to also work the event, instantly causing Betty headaches as the sisters' competitve ways flourish. Eccentric Italian fashionista Fabia introduces Wilhelmina to a most unusual cosmetic treatment -- injecting "duck sauce" into the face -- which she quickly employs.

Elsewhere, Marc reveals to Amanda that he makes extra cash on the side by tipping off Eternal Eighteen, a tacky mall store, as to what the year's hottest fashion item will be. Before the event kicks off, Bradford informs his son that Meade Publications will soon be handed over to him -- a role Daniel decides to take quite seriously, despite his old pal Becks encouraging him to regress to his roguish ways.

Back at the Suarez home, Betty's father tries to ward off the unwanted advances of his lusty immigration officer. At the Mode show, a facially-bloated Wilhelmina -- aided by Betty's fashion-savvy brother, Justin -- continues her scheme to take control of Meade before a shocking revelation overshadows everything. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
