BROTHERS & SISTERS: GRAPES OF WRATH (TV)
Summary
One in this drama series about the California-based Walker family, an adult clan of siblings trying to live up to their parents' lofty expectations after the death of the family patriarch.
In this episode, Holly and Tommy prepare for the opening of their vineyard, while the Walker siblings try to figure out a way to avoid attending. Elsewhere, Sarah worries about being stuck in "relationship purgatory" with Joe and is angered with Nora for allowing Rebecca to live with her. Rebecca attempts to apologize to Sarah about Joe. Also, Senator McCallister wonders how to answer Kitty's engagement question, though she appears to be backpedaling. Meanwhile, Nora and Mark prepare for their weekend getaway. Eventually, all the Walkers do attend the vineyard's opening, including Joe. However, the family gives Joe a very cold shoulder. Holly is furious to learn from Saul that Rebecca has been staying with Nora.
Nora gives Sarah some advice on how to proceed with Joe. Meanwhile, Holly makes a play for Mark, and Saul calls her out for trying to "screw" with Nora. Kitty gets drunk, ruing her situation with the senator before eventually getting input from Kevin. Justin and Joe nearly get into a scrape over the Rebecca situation, but Sarah seems to side with her husband. As the wine flows, and the other guests dine, the Walkers have an impromptu family meeting to discuss their current situations. Now playfully flirting, Holly and Mark go for a romantic walk through the vineyard. Finally returning to the dinner, Nora is distressed to hear of the whereabouts of Holly and Mark. Afterward, Nora questions Mark on his actions, while the Walker brothers and Saul reminisce about times past. Eventually, Nora confronts Holly about both Mark and Rebecca. It ultimately ends with the two women engaged in a food fight before they break down and talk about William. The next day, Kitty wakes up hungover, curious about what happened the previous night. Elsewhere, Nora speaks frankly with Mark, revealing that she finally has learned to trust her instincts. Finally, Julia's water breaks, though the timing for the twins' birth is months premature. Includes commercials.
