BROTHERS & SISTERS: GAME NIGHT (TV)

Summary

One in this drama series about the California-based Walker family, an adult clan of siblings trying to live up to their parents' lofty expectations after the death of the family patriarch.

In this episode, Kitty is scrutinizing Senator McCallister's past, searching for anything that might one day be used against him. In talking with his close contacts, Kitty meets Jason, the senator's gay brother, and wonders if she should set him up with Kevin. Kitty also wonders if anyone else knows about what really happened during the senator's helicopter incident in Kuwait. Meanwhile, Nora is forced to buy a duck for Easter dinner when neighbor and old rival Miranda Jones gets the final turkey at the local market.

During dinner, the Walkers "great game night debacle" against the Jones family is brought up. The Walkers also debate whether they should have invited Rebecca to attend the dinner. Sarah consequently invites her out for tea the next day, while Kevin invites her to a documentary film, and Tommy invites her to his house for dinner. An overwhelmed Rebecca suggests they all get together in the same place. Later, Kitty and Nora run into Miranda and one of her daughters, Lizzie Jones-Baker, and the game night debacle is brought up yet again. The rivalry is renewed with a rematch scheduled for the next night.

Kevin goes out on a date with Jason under false guidance from Kitty, during which Kevin rages against the senator and things quickly go sour. At game night, the Walkers marvel at how the Joneses have aged over the years. Meanwhile, Kitty tries to impress everyone with her relationship to the senator and Kevin labels Kitty "dead" to him. As the defending champions, the Joneses choose to open with charades which they easily win. Meanwhile, Rebecca sneaks away to talk with Joe about his guitar "addiction." The next game is Twister and Justin defeats the busty Stephanie Jones. Then, Tommy wins a game of Operation as tensions heat up amongst the Walkers. With game night in a dead heat, the Jones and Walkers face off in the final game -- trivia. On an important question, Rebecca encourages the team to answer one way and it ultimately leads to the Walkers' defeat and the Joneses claiming the trophy.

Afterward, Kitty tries to finally have a heart-to-heart talk with Rebecca. The next day, Joe teaches Rebecca how to play guitar and they talk about the Walkers. Meanwhile, Kitty and Nora head toward the Jones house to try and steal back the trophy that they believe is rightfully theirs. Finally, Rebecca reveals to Justin that Joe made a move on her during their guitar lessons. Includes commercials.
