Summary
The fifth episode in this special series tracing the history of one black family through generations of enslavement in America. Sixteen years have passed: it is May 1806. Kizzy welcomes back Missy Anne, the master's niece and her childhood friend. Missy Anne taught Kizzy to read and has arranged that she become her own slave. Kizzy's beau Noah has escaped with Kizzy's help, but is caught, and Kizzy is sold. Closes with Kizzy's rape by her new master, Tom Moore. Includes commercials.
